WIRING HARNESSES
Wiring harnesses are located behind
interior trim pieces throughout the
bus. Most wiring can be accessed by
removing the trim pieces or panels
that cover the wiring harnesses. Your
local dealer can recommend the best
removal procedures. The AC Harness
runs behind the headliner on the
drivers side of the bus. Wiring for
speakers, lights, and other systems
also run behind the headliner. The
spacing between the cover panels and
the wiring harnesses is minimal, do
not puncture the panels. Damage to
the wiring can cause severe electrical
problems.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM REPAIR
Electrical system troubleshooting
should begin with the fuse block.
Diagrams indicate wiring colors, the
stamped circuit numbers, and circuit
schematics.
u
Use fuses of the specified type and
amperage rating only. Using other
fuses may cause damage to electrical
components and increase the risk of
electrical fires.

When repairing circuits, be sure
that wiring is protected from damage
by securing with wire-ties or P-clamps
(based on initial installation), routing
away from heat sources and sharp
edges.
;;,
u
Use ring terminals, spade
connectors, or butt connectors as a
last resort. Solder all connections and
heat-shrink whenever possible.
For your convenience, unused circuit
connections in the power distribution center fuse
panel are supplied with fuses for use as spares.
The cigarette lighter receptacle, (if
supplied), can also be used as a power source for
accessories.
