Inlet air - Thermistor element (NTC sensor)
Function
The thermistor element measures the temperature of the heated air entering the drum.
The resistance of this device is normally 80 to 100 kOhms at 20°C and drops as the
temperature increases.
The signal is returned to the main circuit board and this ensures that the inlet air does not
become excessively hot, thus preventing scorching of garments.
Replacement
Gas and electric heated dryers, fig. 1
The element A is located in the heating unit.
Fig. 1 Open the front shutter. Element A can now be replaced by dismounting the angle
plate.
