Replacing thread cutter
To replace the thread cutter, follow the procedure below.
To remove:
1. Remove the needle plate and the bed cover.
2. Loosen the screw (A). Remove the free-arm cover.
3 Remove setscrews(B), then remove the thread
cutter (unit).
To attach:
Insert the pin (C) and pin (E) into the thread cutter hole,
and attach the thread cutter unit with the screw (B).
After attaching the thread cutter unit, check the driving
arm (1) function.
1. Lower the needle bar at its lowest position by turning
the handwheel.
2. Push the driving arm (1) down and insert the pin (D)
into the ditch of the cutter driving cam.
3. Turn the handwheel to drive the cutter slide plate.
The driving arm (1) should disengage from the
stopper and return to the home position.
