3.2 Setup of the PlasmaQuant MS
Essentially the PlasmaQuant MS consists of the following components
Sample introduction system with peristaltic pump, nebulizer, spray chamber and
torch
Plasma compartment with plasma generation and interference management
Mass spectrometer compartment with ion optics, mass analyzer and detector
Devices with the Adaptive Mass Range (AMR) upgrade option have a limited isotope
separation for ions of an atomic mass of more than 230 amu (atomic mass units) as
stipulated by the applicable export regulations. The resolution of the atomic mass
> 230 amu is > 2 amu.
