Mechanical construction.
In the case of media with a low dielectric constant, εr < 2 , the tank floor may be visible through the
medium at very low levels (lower than level C). Reduced accuracy must be expected in this range. If
this is not acceptable, the zero point should be positioned at a distance C above the tank floor in
these applications → Usable measuring range.
The media groups and the possible measuring range are described as a function of the application
and media group in the following section. If the dielectric constant of the medium is not known, to
ensure a reliable measurement assume the medium belongs to group B.
