11.10.9 Rescaling the input value
In the Analog Input Function Block, the input value or input range can be scaled in accordance with
the automation requirements.
Example:
• The measuring range of the sensor is 0 to 30 m³/h.
• The output range to the automation system should be 0 to 100%.
The Analog Input Function Block must be configured as follows:
• Select the input value in the CHANNEL parameter
Select CHANNEL = 2 Volume flow
L_TYPE parameter (see Page 40)
Select: L_TYPE = Indirect
The process variable "Volume Flow" of the Transducer Block "Flow" is rescaled linearly in the
AI Block via the input scaling XD_SCALE to the desired output range OUT_SCALE.
XD_SCALE parameter group (see Page 40)
XD_SCALE 0 % = 0
XD_SCALE 100 % = 30
XD_SCALE UNIT = m³/h
OUT_SCALE parameter group (see Page 40)
OUT_SCALE 0 % = 0
OUT_SCALE 100 % = 100
OUT_SCALE UNIT = %
The result is that with an input value of, for example, 15 m³/h an output value of 50% is output via
the OUT parameter.
