Principles of Operation
Carriage Mechanism
The timing belt is connected to the lower side of the carriage.
With the printhead installed, the
carriage moves in either direction along the carriage guide shaft. The carriage (CR) motor, a
stepping motor, drives the timing belt, which moves the carriage. The home position (HP) sensor
detects the home position of the carriage.
