this man ual and on the mac hine to identify impor tant
safety messag es whic h m ust be follo w ed to a v oid
accidents .
T his symbol means: ATTENTION! BECOME
ALER T! Y OUR SAFETY IS INV OL VED!

T he safety aler t symbol appears abo v e infor mation
whic h aler ts y ou to unsafe actions or situations
and will be follo w ed b y the w ord D ANGER ,
W ARNING , or CA UTION .
D ANGER : Indicates an imminently hazardous
situation whic h, if not a v oided, W ill result in death or
serious injur y .
W ARNING : Indicates a potentially hazardous
situation whic h, if not a v oided, Could result in death
or serious injur y .
CA UTION : Indicates a potentially hazardous
situation whic h, if not a v oided, May result in minor
or moderate injur y .
T his man ual uses tw o other w ords to highlight
infor mation. Impor tant calls attention to special
mec hanical infor mation and Note emphasizes
g eneral infor mation w or th y of special attention.
General Safety
T his mac hine is capable of amputating hands and
feet and of thro wing objects . Alw a ys follo w all safety
instr uctions to a v oid serious personal injur y and
death.
R ead, understand, and follo w all instr uctions
and w ar nings in the Operator’ s Man ual and
on the mac hine , engine , and attac hments . All
operators and mec hanics should be trained. If
the operator(s) or mec hanic(s) can not read this
man ual, it is the o wner’ s responsibility to explain
this material to them; other languag es ma y be
a v ailable on our w ebsite .
Only allo w trained, responsible , and ph ysically
capable operators that are familiar with the safe
operation, operator controls , and safety signs and
instr uctions to operate the mac hine . Nev er let
c hildren or untrained people operate or ser vice
the equipment. Local regulations ma y restrict the
ag e of the operator .
Do Not operate the mac hine near drop-offs ,
ditc hes , embankments , w ater , or other hazards .

area.
Do Not put y our hands or feet near mo ving par ts .
Do Not operate the mac hine without all safety
shields , guards , switc hes , and other devices in
place and in proper w orking condition.

set parking brak e , stop engine , remo v e k ey , or
disconnect spark plug wire . W ait for all mo ving
par ts to stop before lea ving the operator’ s
position. Allo w the mac hine to cool before
ser vicing, adjusting, fueling, cleaning, or storing .
