8. Unscrew the lter to remo v e and allo w uid to
drain from the reser v oir .
Important: Bef or e r einstalling new lter , ll
it with Exmar k Pr emium Hy dr o oil and appl y
a thin coat of oil on the surf ace of the r ub ber
seal.
Install a new lter and tur n the lter cloc kwise
until the r ubber seal contacts the lter adapter ,
then tighten the lter an additional 2/3 to 3/4
tur n.
9. R emo v e the left and right wheel motor plugs and
allo w the uid to drain.
10. R einstall both wheel motor plugs . T he wheel
motor drain plugs are magnetic; wipe clean before
reinstalling .
11. R emo v e the ll por t plug whic h is located near
the “ A ” por t on eac h wheel motor .

L) Exmark Premium Hy dro oil.
B . R einstall the plugs and tor que to 46-50 ft-lb
(62-68 N-m).

13. Fill reser v oir as stated in Check Hy draulic Oil
Lev el.
14. R emo v e the reser v oir cap from the uid tank.
15. Add 3 qt (2.8 L) of oil in the reser v oir .
Note: T he reser v oir will be o v erfull at this point
the lev el will quic kly g o do wn once the mac hine is
star ted and oil lls the wheel motors .
16. R einstall the dri v e tires and tor que
the lug n uts as recommended (see
T orque R equir ements ( pag e 19 ) ).
17. Star t engine and mo v e throttle control ahead to
full throttle position. Diseng ag e parking brak e
and mo v e motion control lev ers forw ard with
equal pressure , and r un for one min ute . Shut
do wn the mac hine , allo w the h y dros to cool.
18. Chec k the lev el of the h y draulic oil; refer to
Check Hy draulic Oil Lev el section.
Add enough oil to put the lev el in the
cross-hatc hed area on the dipstic k. R einstall the
cap .
19. If either dri v e wheel does not rotate , one or both
of the c harg e pumps ma y ha v e lost their “prime . ”
R efer to Hy draulic System Air Purge section.
20. R einstall the rear guard and thigh pad.
21. R emo v e the jac k stands .
Note: Do Not c hang e h y draulic system oil (ex ce pt
for what can be drained when c hanging lter), unless
it is felt the oil has been contaminated or been
extremely hot.
Changing oil unnecessarily could damag e h y draulic
system b y introducing contaminates into the system.
