Park Brake
Adjustment–S-Series Only
If the parking brak e does not hold securely , an
adjustment is required.
1. P ark the mac hine on a lev el surface .
2. Shut off engine and w ait for all mo ving par ts to
stop .
3. W hen the park brak e is released, the brak e bars
should lift off the tires and the hand lev er should
tra v el forw ard. W hen the brak e is diseng ag ed,
the g ap betw een the brak e sn ubber teeth and
dri v e tire on the right side of the mac hine should
measure 1/4–3/8 inc h (6–10 mm) (see Figure 30 ).
• 48 and 52 Inc h Models: Measure from center
teeth
• 60 Inc h Model: Measure from outer tooth

5. Tighten the whizloc k n uts to 27-33 ft lb (37-45
N-m).
Motion Control T racking
Adjustment
If the mac hine tra v els or pulls to one side when the
motion control lev ers are in the full forw ard position,
adjust the rear control links .
1. R emo v e the thigh pad.
2. Adjust the rear control link (see Figure 32 ).
A. Shor ten link to increase speed.
B . Lengthen link to decrease speed.
