What is an Extron LinkLicense?
An Extron LinkLicense is a quick, cost-effective way for people to add even more powerful capabilities to Extron
products. Each type of LinkLicense unlocks a unique set of features that add convenience and expand the
functionality available in your system. It is applied per-system, enabling you to enhance the capabilities and
performance where and when you need it. Activating a LinkLicense on a product is quick and effortless, so you
can take immediate advantage of all the benefits.

How Customers Obtain a LinkLicense
Customers can obtain a LinkLicense by purchasing a redemption code and applying it to the touchpanel.
Once the LinkLicense is purchased, the end-user receives a redemption code. Go to the Extron LinkLicense
Redemption webpage (www.extron.com/download/linklicense.aspx).
Enter the redemption code and the touchpanel serial number.
Once the serial number is verified, follow the prompts to download the LinkLicense activation file from the Extron
LinkLicense Redemption webpage or obtain it as an attachment from an automated email.
Applying a LinkLicense
The LinkLicense activation file can be applied to the touchpanel using Toolbelt. For more information about
Toolbelt, see the Toolbelt Help File.
1. Open Toolbelt.
2. Connect the touchpanel.
3. Open the LinkLicense tab.
4. Press the ... menu button.
5. Find the LinkLicense activation file.
6. Click Apply.
The LinkLicence is applied to the touchpanel.
NOTE: Once the redemption code is used in the Extron website, the LinkLicense is tied (locked) to the
specific device serial number entered into the form. This means that the code cannot be transferred to
another device after the code has been used.
