MP-70 AND MP-69 DATA OUTPUTS
Your Fair-Play scoreboard requires data in one of two
formats: MP-70 or MP-69.
MP-69 is a data format developed in 1984, and still in use in some
incandescent-light scoreboards.
MP-70 is the current data format and was
developed in 1998.
Note: The tables listed under BOARDS SUPPORTED
on page 147 indicate which data format your
scoreboard model requires.
Note: Although Trans-Lux sells an MP-70 control, it is important to note that in
this instance, “MP-70” also refers to a protocol used by your controller to
communicate with the scoreboard. Hence, the MP-30 control uses the
MP-69 or the MP-70 data transmission method to communicate with your
scoreboard.
