Using a mandrel and in new bushes towards fan
until flush with the crankcase.
Note:
Bearing bushes must be machined to the
required size. The crankcase must be cleaned
with compressed air (oil channels) after this
operation.

Refitting the camshaft
Slide guide mandrel into crankcase, insert
camshaft in mandrel and refit camshaft into the
crankcase.

Refit axial stop, insert screws and tighten at
specified torque.
Measure end clearance; if necessary replace
thrust water.

● Refit timing gear.
● Refit timing case.
● Refit oil pan and idler gear.
● Reconnect pushrod and refit rocker arm
assembly.
