1.3.1 Branch line length
PLEASE NOTE
• Note the maximum permitted length of the
fieldbus cable if you connect the bus node
via a branch line.
• When calculating the maximum permitted length
of the fieldbus cable, also take into account
the sum of the branch lines.
The maximum permitted length of the branch line
depends on the type of cable and baud rate used.
Recommendation:
Use a cable with a capacitance per unit length
< 30 nF/km as specified below.
Otherwise the permitted cable length will be shorter.
