2.1.3 Compiling the configuration list
Before commissioning or programming you must create
a configuration list of all connected fieldbus slaves. On
the basis of this list, you can do the following:

•• Make a comparison between the NOMINAL configu-
ration and the ACTUAL configuration saved in the
CP fieldbus node, in order to detect any connection
errors
•• Access these specifications during a syntax check of
a program, in order to avoid addressing errors.
Configuration of the CP system requires a very accur-
ate procedure, as different configuration specifications
may be rquired for each system due to the modular
structure. Please observe here also the specifications in
subsequent sections.
