6. Preparation and setup
The following steps must be performed to set up and prepare
the machine:
- Adjust the traction bar
- Establish the hydraulic, electrical and brake connections
- Connect the PTO
6.1 Draw gear
6.1.1 drawbar, bottom hitch
Objective
Adjustment of the drawbar height. The drawbar is preconfigured for bottom attachment by the
manufacturer.
Depending on the towing vehicle, a slight adjustment of the drawbar height may be required.
This is done by adjusting the height with the hydraulic supporting foot.
Keep the trailer as horizontal as possible.
Prerequisites
- Suitable spanners (torque wrenches)
- Means of supporting and protecting against falling

6.1.2 Setting up the trailer coupling on the towing vehicle
Move the towing device of the towing vehicle to
the correct height.
Position the trailer coupling (A) on the towing
vehicle so that the trailer is horizontal when it is
hitched.
