Provide sufficient lighting when starting up for night-time operations or
in the case of poor visibility.
The tractor symbol printed on the cover indicates the tractor side of the
drive shaft. Always attach any overload or overrun clutches on the
machine side.
Before commencing work, check that the drive shaft is securely
connected to the tractor and the work machine. Check the tightening
torque of any mounting bolts.
Friction clutches can reach very high temperatures during operation.
To avoid fire risks, keep combustible materials away from the clutch
and avoid long slip phases.
Do not use the chains for handling or hanging up the drive shaft when
work is completed. Instead, use a suitable support.
To prevent injuries or damage to the safety device resulting from the
drive shaft coming apart, keep the drive shaft in a horizontal position.
Use a suitable means of transport that can support the weight of the
drive shaft.
Carry out all maintenance and repair work only with suitable accident
prevention devices. Replace worn or damaged components only with
original parts supplied by the drive shaft manufacturer. No parts of the
drive shaft must be converted or altered without authorisation.
The drive shaft dealer is responsible for any work not described in
these operating and maintenance instructions.
