Export Album to AVI Format:
1. At Fig 7.12.1, click the AVI Format radio button.
2. Click the
button to select the location and name of the export folder
(eg C:\Album AVI)
3. Click OK. The Conversion to AVI Format dialog box will be displayed (Fig 7.12.6).
4. Select the flipping interval of the album by dragging the slider button or clicking the left
or right arrow. This will affect the length of your movie.
5. Select the desired Encoding (VCD has the lowest quality while DVD has the highest
quality).
6. Select the desired TV System (NTSC is more commonly used in US and Japan while PAL
is more commonly used in Asia).
7. To convert to AVI without compression, click the Uncompressed radio button, else click
the Compressed radio button.
8. To select different compression format, click the Advanced button and Fig 7.12.7 will be
displayed. Select the Compression Format, Compression Quality and click OK.
9. The estimated time, elapsed time, temporary disk space and estimated CD disk space
will be indicated.
10. Click Convert. The Conversion to AVI Format status dialog box will be displayed
(Fig 7.12.8).
Note:
1. Audio in album will not be exported. You can add in background music through
3rd Party Tools when converting to MPEG-2 format.
2. AVI files are extremely large when uncompressed, so you may want to convert
your album to a compressed AVI. Compressors offer a range of “quality” settings.
You may want to experiment with different compressors and different quality
settings to decide a good balance between image quality and file size.
3. Performance is always a factor in deciding how much to compress your images.
Test your files and find a good compromise between quality and size that works
for your specific purpose.
