Push and the Product searches (polls) the bus to find
any connected HART devices. From this screen, there are
these softkeys:
- Communicator Only
- Loop Power +24V ON
- Enable HART 250Ω
- Restart BUS Polling
Once Polling finds the transmitter(s), move the cursor to the
desired tag number and select (Continue) to select.
Loop Power +24V ON
The Product supplies loop power at 24 V dc to a current
transmitter disconnected from the system. To supply 24 V
loop power:
1. From the HART menu, push (Loop Power
+24V ON). The Product polls the bus to see if a
transmitter is connected.
2. With the transmitter disconnected from normal loop
power, connect the Product test leads in series with the
instrument current loop as shown in Figure 16.
3. The mA display shows measure loop current.
