18. The subsequent steps apply only to UUTs fitted with the Low-Level
Microwave output option.
19. Connect the UUT Microwave Output to the RF INPUT of the Spectrum
Analyzer/Measuring Receiver and connect the REF FREQUENCY OUTPUT
(rear panel) from the UUT to the Spectrum Analyzer Ext Ref In (on rear). See
Figure 3-17 for equipment connections.

Figure 3-17. Microwave Output Level Accuracy Tests, Low-level Points (Low-level Microwave Output
option only)
Note
Low-level measurements are made with a Spectrum
Analyzer/Measuring Receiver, relative to levels previously measured
with the Power Sensor. Two levels (-7dBm and -37 dBm) are used
as reference points for the subsequent tests in this part of the
procedure. It is important that the correct sequence is followed as
described.
Making these precision low-level measurements requires
appropriate choice of Spectrum Analyzer/Measuring Receiver
settings to provide adequate linearity, noise floor, and reading
repeatability throughout the amplitude range required. For any given
frequency the Spectrum Analyzer/Measuring Receiver the settings
must be maintained for all amplitudes at that frequency after
establishing the reference point. In particular, receiver attenuator,
reference level, and resolution bandwidth settings must not change.
