Adjustingthe rear-compartment climatecon‐
trol
Requirements:
R
The climatecontrol system has been
switched on (/ page98).
Setting thetemperature and airflowwith
dual-zone and 3-zone automatic climate con‐
trol:
#
Press the button.
The indicator lamponthe button and
the
symbol on theclimatecontrolsys‐
temdisplaywillflash.
The displaywill switch to thetemperatureand
thebloweronthe rear menu.

Use therockerswitches w and K to
setthe required temperatureand airflow on
therear-compartment menu.

If thereare significant differences between
thetemperaturesettings of thefront and rear
systems, these cannot be regulated accu‐
rately.

If therear-compartment climatecontrol has
been switched off, youcan switch it on auto‐
matically by pressing the 0 button.
Dependingonthe vehicle equipment, climate
controlwill switchonthe roof-mounted air condi‐
tioningsystemorrear-compartment heating as
required:

Vehicles with aroof-mounted air condi‐
tioning system: therear compartment can
onlybecooled.
R
Vehicles with rear-compartment heating:
therear compartment can onlybeheated.
Switching offrear-compartment climatecon‐
trol via dual-zone and 3-zone automatic cli‐
matecontrol:

Press the button.

If theindicator lamponthe button and
the symbol on theclimatecontrolsys‐
temdisplayflash, setthe airflow to 0onthe
rear-compartment menu.

Indicator lampon: rear-compartment climate
control has been switched on.
Indicator lampoff:rear-compartment climate
control has been switched off.
Indicator lampflashes: thesetting mode of
therear-compartment climatecontrol is
active.
Switching theA/C function on and off
Requirements:
R
The climatecontrol system has been
switched on (/ page98).
The A/C function controls theclimateand dries
theair inside thevehicle.

Press the ¿ button.

Switchoff theA/C function onlybriefly.Oth
erwise, thewindows could fogupfaster.

Condensation mayleak from theunderside of
thevehicle in cooling mode. This is notasign
of adefect.
Automaticallyregulating climatecontrol
Requirements:
R
The climatecontrol system has been
switched on (/ page98).
Switching on automatic climatecontrol
In automatic mode, thetemperature, airflow and
air distribution areregulated and kept constant.
#
Press the à button.
The displaywill showthe temperature. The
airflow and air distribution will disappear from
thedisplay.
If therear-compartment climatecontrol has
been switched on, thesetting will be carried
overfor therear compartment.
Switching offautomatic climatecontrol
#
Use the K rocker switchtochangethe air‐
flow setting and air distribution
(/ page100) .
The other settingremainsunaffected by the
change.
