To disconnect the sliding doorfromthe
electric motor: turnrelease catch 2 18
clockwise.
The "MAN" position is set.
#
To unlock: pull locking pin 3 upwards man‐
ually or use thecentrallockingbutton to
unlock thesliding door (/ page46).
#
Press button 1.
#
Open or close thesliding door withthe out‐
side/inside door handle.
#
To connect thesliding door to theelectric
motor: turnrelease catch 2 18 counter-
clockwise.
The "AUTO" position is set.
#
Adjustthe sliding door (/ page52).
#
If it is notpossible to rectify themalfunction,
visit aqualified specialistworkshop.

Opens and closes thesliding door on the
right side of thevehicle
Sliding door button on thedoor sill (B-pillar)
Youmustresetthe sliding door if therehas been
amalfunction or avoltagesupplyinterruption.

If thesliding door is open: press button 1 on
thecenter console or sliding door button 3
on thedoor sill (B-pillar) and hold until the
door is closed.

Close thesliding door withthe door handle
(/ page51).
#
Thenbriefly press button 1 on thecenter
console or sliding door button 3 on thedoor
sill (B-pillar) once, or pull thedoor handle
(/ page51) to completely open thesliding
door.
The sliding door is operational.

whenopening therear-end door in poor
trafficconditions
Whenyou open arear-end door,the following
is possible:

Other people or road usersmay be endan‐
gered
R
Youmay be caughtbyoncomingtraffic
This is particularly thecase if youopen the
rear-enddoor morethan 90°.

Only open therear-end doorswhen traf‐
ficconditions permit.
#
Alwaysmakesurethat therear-end
doorsare properly locked.
