Installing and removing thefront towing eye

To install thefront towing eye: press the
topofthe coverand remove thecover.
#
Screw in towing eye 1 clockwise to thestop
and tighten.
#
To remove thefront towing eye: unscrew
towing eye 1 counter-clockwise.
#
Insertthe coverwiththe tabs at thetop and
push in at thebottomuntil thecoverengages.
Rear towing eye(vehicles withpassenger vehicle
approval)

Rear towing eye 2 is permanentlyattached
to thevehicle.

incorrect use of thetowing eye
When atowing eyeisused to recoveravehi‐
cle, thevehicle maybedamaged in theproc‐
ess.

towstartthe vehicle.

The automatic transmissionmay be damaged

automatic transmission.

If youmanipulateorbridgeafaulty fuse or if
youreplace it withafuse withahigher
amperage, theelectric line could be overloa‐
ded.
This could result in afire.

Always replace faulty fuseswithspeci‐
fied newfuses containing thecorrect
amperage.

NOTE Damage due to incorrect fuses
Electricalcomponents or systems could be
damaged by incorrect fuses.

Only use fuses which have been
approvedbyFreightliner Sprinter and
whichhavethe correct fuserating.
Theelectricalfuses in your vehicle switchoff
defectivecircuits. If afuse blows,all thecompo‐
nentsonthe circuit and their functions will cease
to operate.
Blown fuses mustbereplaced withfuses of an
equivalent specification,whichyou can deter‐
mine by thecolor and fuse rating.The fuse allo‐
cation chartand further information on theelec‐
tric fuses and relays can be found in the"Fuse
allocation chart" supplement.
