redtoyoursmartphone.
Dependingonthe type of integration, this can

This enables theuse of selected smartphone
apps, e.g. navigation or music playback. Thereis
no additional interaction between thesmart‐
phone and thevehicle, particularly activeaccess
to vehicle data. Whichtype of further datapro‐
cessingoccursisdetermined by theproviderof
thespecific app used. Whichsettings youcan
make, if any, depends on thespecific app and the
operating system of your smartphone.
Onlineservices
Wireless networkconnection
If your vehicle has awireless networkconnection,
datacan be exchanged between your vehicle and
other systems. The wireless networkconnection
is enabled via thevehicle's transmission and
reception unitorvia connected mobile end devi‐
ces (e.g.smartphones). Online functionscan be
used via this wireless networkconnection.These
include onlineservicesand applications/apps,
whichare provided by themanufacturer or by
other providers.
Manufacturer's ownservices
In thecase of themanufacturer's online services,
themanufacturer describes thefunctions in a
suitable place (e.g. operating instructions, manu‐
facturer's website) and provides theassociated
information subject to dataprotection legislation.
Personal identification datamay be used to pro‐
vide online services. The dataexchangefor this
takesplace via asecureconnection, e.g. withthe
manufacturer's IT systems intended forthe pur‐
pose. The collecting, processing, and use of per‐
sonal identification databeyond theprovision of
services occursexclusively on thebasis of alegal
permit or afterdue consent.
Generally,you can activateordeactivatethe
services and functions (partlysubject to afee). In
some cases, this also applies to thewhole data
connection of thevehicle. Excluded from this are
special legally prescribed functionsand services.

protection and termsofuse of theresponsible
