An ExpressC ard slot enables opera tion of an ExpressCard/34 or ExpressCard/54.
A P C card slot enables the notebook to operate one typ e I or type II PC card.
Please read the documentation on the PC card and/or on the ExpressCard
and follow the m anufacturer’s instructions.

Inserting the card
Keep the p laceholder for the slot in a safe place. When you remove the card again you
must reinstall the placeholder. This prevents foreign bodies from getting into t he slot.

► If the eject button (1) is recessed, press it
once so that it disengages. Now press the
eject button again so that the placeholder
protrudes slightly from the notebook.
► Pull the card placeh olde r out of th e slot (2).
► Insert the card into the slot guide with
the connection contacts first.
► Gently push the card into the slot e ither
until it will go no further or you feel it
engage. Do not use excessive force.
Depending on the type, the card m a y
protrude slightly from the s lot.
