Password protection for booting the op erating system
With the supe rvisor password you have set in th e BIOS Setup Utility (see
section "
Assig ning the supervisor and user passwords", Page 57), you can
also prevent booting o f the operating system.

► Start the BIOS Se tup U tility and go to the Security menu.

► Select the Password on Boot option and press the Enter key.
► Select the option you require (Disabled, First Boot or Every Boot) and p ress the enter key
If Disabled is selected, a password is not required, and you cannot prote ct
the system (deactivates system protection).
► Select the Save Chang
es & Exit option under Exit.
The Tablet PC reboots. You will be prompted to enter your password (the supervisor passwo rd).
