Remote test
The DSC-60 transmits test data to the connected equipment and receives the response #IDxxxx (where
xxxx is the model name. For example, when FS-1562 is connected, xxxx is FS1562). The command
outputs three times, and then, if no response occurs, “NG” is displayed.
If IC-302 is connected to the DMC terminal, DMC CHECK becomes “NG”. In NMEA check, DSC-60
is connected to the NMEA terminal.
Results) Model name or NG
- RT : FS-xxxx
- NBDP : DP-6
- DMC : DMC-5
- NMEA : DSC-60

Loopback test
This loopback test is executed to check internal I/O circuit for each port with the peripheral unit discon-
nected. Disconnect the unit connected to the port to be checked, and put a jumper between TX and RX
lines. #CAID command is sent out through the TX line and #ID is received through the RX line if the I/
O circuit is normal. The command outputs three times, and then, if no response occurs, “NG” is dis-
played.
Results) OK or NG
- RT : OK
- NBDP : OK
- DMC : OK
- NMEA : OK
