4. EXT ALARM
The performance test of received call unit IC-303 is executed.
By pressing [ENT] key, a distress signal outputs, and “External alarm test in progress” message is
displayed. The alarm outputs to the LED and buzzer on IC-303, main unit buzzer, and external speaker.
When [ALARM STOP] button on IC-303 is pressed, the alarm stops and the test finishes. Pressing
[CANCEL] key forces this test into the end.
5. EXT ALERT
The performance test of distress alert unit IC-302 is executed.
By pressing [ENT] key, DSC-60 is brought into waiting status for a distress alert from IC-302, and the
screen displays “Waiting for external alert sw.” message.
Pressing [DISTRESS] button on IC-302 sends an alert signal to IC-302 from the DSC-60, and a mes-
sage “External alert test in progress” is displayed on the screen.
When the button is kept pressing, the LED on the button flashes for 3 seconds, and then, lights. The alert
signal outputs to LED and buzzer on IC-302, main unit buzzer, and external speaker.
Pressing [CANCEL] key forces this test into the end.
