Select the central reader to be configured from the device list on the left. Use the "Add Location" and "Add Device"
buttons to add another central reader to this list. After selecting a central reader the device settings are shown in the
right section. In this section other information such as the configuration history can be viewed and the display texts
of the central reader can be changed.
To open the configuration of a selected central reader, click the button "(2) Configure". The current configuration is
read from the device and the configuration window is displayed which shows the configuration categories and op-
tions (see Figure 5.2).
5.1.2 Configuration Parameters and the Corresponding Default Settings
The following configuration settings are available on the central reader. These settings are edited on the right hand
side of the configuration window in the text and option fields. A description of the settings is provided in the table.
If set to “True”, the device will get its IP set-
tings from a DHCP server.
IP address of the device (if DHCP is disabled)
Subnet mask of the device (if DHCP is disa-
bled)
Primary DNS address of the device (if DHCP
is disabled)
Secondary DNS address of the device (if
DHCP is disabled)
Default gateway of the device (if DHCP is
disabled)
NetBIOS name of the device

Serial No.
If set to “True”, 100 MBit Ethernet link is ena-
bled, 10 MBit if disabled
Selection of the internal or external antenna

First locker number for the locker configura-
