NELLCOR® OXIMAX® SpO2: Troubleshooting
PROBLEM: The SpO
2
value and/or PR value is out of limits but a limit alarm is not
audible.
CAUSE:
 The NELLCOR
®
SpO
2
parameter has been set up to delay alarms using
the NELLCOR
®
SatSeconds™ alarm management software.
SOLUTION:
 Check the patient.
 Check the configuration setting for SatSeconds™. If greater than zero,
the limit alarm will not be generated immediately after the limit is
violated. The length of time before the alarm is generated depends both
upon how far it is out of limits and for long it has been out of limits.
