Command Syntax
:SYSTem:AREA
Parameter: String
Short form: SYST:AREA
Function: Sets a group of parameters for an area of the world.
Query Syntax
:SYSTem:AREA?
Short form: :SYST:AREA?
Function: Queries area setting.
Response: Sends:
EUROPE, or EUR
USA
JAPAN or JAP
ASIA
ROW (rest of the world)
Description
This command instructs the instrument to enable a group of default settings for an area of
the world.
:SYST:AREA
TX> :SYST:AREA?
RX> :SYST:AREA EUR
The current area of use is set to Europe.
Can be set to another area, such as Japan:
TX> :SYST:AREA jap
TX> :SYST:AREA?
RX> :SYST:AREA JAP
Set to the rest of the world:
TX> :SYST:AREA row
TX> :SYST:AREA?
RX> :SYST:AREA ROW
