An inner lid feed seal (O-ring 6ID x 2 mm,
green pefluoroelastomer ) is included in lid
seal kit.
Tools required:
Small long nose pliers
Small flat blade screwdriver
After 400 hours of use, the screen shows the
advice message: Attention. Inner lid feed
seal is due for replacement. Please see
manual for instructions.
This indicates an O-ring in the lid coupling
must be replaced.
Remove the inner lid from the Rocket 4D and
place it on a suitable work surface. Using
long nose pliers, nip the seal on one side of
the central tube and pull it out.
Ti fit the replacement O-ring, hold it in place
and push it down onto the shaft using a flat
blade screwdriver or similar suitable
implement.
Caution: Avoid damage to the
sealing faces when removing
and replacing the O-ring.
To clear the message on the screen, go to
the Maintenance menu and select Confirm
Seal Replacement
To remove the anti-overfill tube for cleaning
or replacement, loosen the finger nut and
pull the tube from the inner lid assembly.
Do not cut or shorten anti-overfill tube, if a
replacement tube is required, use only the
Genevac approved part.
When refitting, make sure the tube is pushed
fully home before tightening the finger-nut.

Evaporation vessel spout seal
Unscrew the stopper from
the evaporation vessel
spout. Slide the seal
sideways out of the slotted
side of the stopper to
remove it.
