  If the power-on indicator isn't lit, check the electrical outlet, plugs, and power cords. If the power button doesn't respond to a light touch, press it firmly. If using battery power, ensure it has a charge and is correctly installed. The screen might be off due to power management; press any key. The brightness might be too low; increase it using the Fn+F6 hot key. The display output might be set to an external device; switch it back to the LCD by pressing Fn+F9 or changing settings in Display Properties. You can also try turning the computer off, waiting a few seconds, and then turning it back on.
