Offline speech recognition: Download and manage speech recognition to enable
voice input while offline (such as when in Airplane mode).
Personalized recognition: When enabled, Google uses your personalized
information to improve speech recognition.

Text-to-Speech Output Settings
Text-to-speech (TTS) provides audible readout of text, for example, the contents of text
messages and the Caller ID for incoming calls.
1. Touch > Apps > Settings > Language and input.
2. Touch Text-to-speech output to configure s:
Preferred Engine: Tap to configure settings.
Speech Rate: Choose a rate for text readouts.
Listen to an example: Play an example of speech used for readouts.
Pointer Speed
Adjust the speed of the pointer, when you use your finger to enter text.
1. Touch > Apps > Settings > Language and input > Pointer speed.
2. Drag the slider to set the pointer speed. Tap OK to save your selection.
Back Up and Reset Phone
Your phone’s Back up and reset menu lets you back up your phone’s data and settings to
Google servers before resetting your phone to the original factory settings. The Factory data
reset erases all data from the phone’s application storage, including:
Your Google Account
All other email and social networking accounts
System and application data and settings
Downloaded applications
Backup and Restore
