This section tries to answer to most frequent question concerning the use of your NTP
device. First, ensure that the software and a SUN JAVA Virtual Machine
1.4.2_X are installed on your computer.
I MADE A « SCAN NOW ! » WITH GTNETMANAGER
BUT I CANNOT SEE THE DEVICE ?
► Verify the cable connection. If Ethernet LEDs are visible, the upper-left LED should be
green. Otherwise, there should be a network connection or power supply failure.
► If you use several VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network), verify that the device is on the
same VLAN than your computer.
► Connect your computer directly to the device using a straight cable.
In DHCP mode, the device take automatically an address in the ran-
ge 169.254.x.y if it does not nd any DHCP server. Change your com-
puter IP address in this range, with a network mask of 255.255.0.0.
I CANNOT OPEN THE CONFIGURATION WEB PAGE ?
► First, is the device reachable with ?
YES
Your computer and the device should have the same IP range and the same network
mask.
NO

► Has the page been found by the browser (the loading begins but fails after a while) ?
NO,PAGE NOT FOUND
If you use “Internet Explorer”, go to :
Tools Internet Options Connections Network Parameters
The browser should not use proxy. uncheck all checkboxes.
