1.Checkthefunctionalityofeachproximity
switch(211).
a.Removethefrontcover.
b.Withthemotorpoweredoff,conrmthat
theindicatinglightsonthebodyofeach
proximityswitch(211)turnsonwhen
ametallicitem,suchastheshaftofa
screwdriver,isplacedonthefaceofeach
switch.
c.Iftheindicatinglightsturnon,the
proximityswitches,itswiring,andthe
HCMarelikelyoperatingcorrectly;
proceedtostep2.Iftheindicatinglights
donotturnon,proceedtostep6.
2.Conrmtheproximityswitches(211),switch
bracket(209),andswitchingplate(319)are
rmlymountedandnotdamaged.
3.Checkdistancebetweentheproximity
switches(211)andtheswitchingplate(319).
a.Parkthepump.
b.Conrmthattheproximityswitch(211)
nearesttheA-sideofthepumpis
backedout0.5to1.5turnsfrombeing
incontactwiththeswitchingplate(319).
c.Disconnectthecablefromtheproximity
switch(211)nearesttheB-sideofthe
pump.Operatethepumpuntilthe
switchingplate(319)islocatedabove
theB-sideproximityswitch,thenturn
offthemotor/pump.
d.Conrmthattheproximityswitch(211)
nearesttheB-sideofthepumpisbacked
out0.5to1.5turnsfrombeingincontact
withtheswitchingplate(319).
e.ReconnectthecabletotheB-side
proximityswitch(219).
