First, change serial baud rate to speed up upgrading (refer to section “Modifying Serial Port
Parameters” for details), and then enter <3> under BootROM operation menu. The system prompts:

Select [Transfer/Send file…] in the HyperTerminal window. The following window pops up:

In the displayed Send file dialog box, click <Browse…> to select the application program file to be
downloaded, and select XModem for the Protocol field. Then click <Send>. The following interface
appears:

After completing download, the following information appears on terminal interface to indicate download
and upgrade success:

Updating Extended BootRom.
Change the baud rate of the console terminal from 115200 bps to 9600 bps, and then reboot the router.
