2.2.2 Analyzer status light
The analyzer status light changes from green to yellow when there is a warning or to red when there
is an error. Refer to Table 5.

Color Description
Green Normal operation
Yellow The system needs attention to prevent a failure in the future. Measurements continue.
To show the warnings, push menu and select DIAGNOSTICS > [select analyzer] >
WARNING LIST. Refer to Warnings—Yellow light on page 26.
Red The system needs immediate attention. Measurements have stopped.
To show the errors, push menu and select DIAGNOSTICS > [select analyzer] > ERROR
LIST. Refer to Errors—Red light on page 25.
2.3 Product components
Make sure that all components have been received. Refer to Figure 2. If any items are missing or
damaged, contact the manufacturer or a sales representative immediately.

2.4 Intended use
The Hach Ultra Low Range CL17sc is intended for use by water treatment professionals who need to
make sure that there is a consistently-low level of total chlorine in process water to prevent damage
to product quality, prevent equipment damage caused by chlorine exposure and/or make sure of
regulatory compliance.
Section 3 Installation
C A U T I O N
Multiple hazards. Only qualified personnel must conduct the tasks described in this
section of the document.
3.1 Installation guidelines
• The analyzer is supplied with a standpipe installation kit or a pressure regulator installation kit to
control the water pressure to the analyzer. The user selects the installation kit at the time of
purchase.
• Install the analyzer indoors in an environment with minimum vibration. Refer to the operating
temperature and humidity specifications in Specifications on page 3.
• Do not install the analyzer in direct sunlight or near a heat source.
