15 Troubleshoot
The following lists the possible faults and troubleshooting methods during the use of
HDG3000B. When you encounter these faults, please follow the corresponding steps to
deal with them. If you cannot solve them, please contact the local distributor or directly
contact Hantek, and please provide the system information of the machine. (Get method:
[Utility] -> System Info).
1. When press the power button, the instrument displays a black screen:
1) Check whether the power cord connector is connected properly.
2) Check whether the power button is pressed firmly.
3) After completing the above checks, restart the instrument.
4) If the product still cannot be used normally, please contact Hantek.
2. The screen display is too dark to see clearly:
1) Check whether the backlight intensity of the LCD screen is too small.
2) Press [Utility] -> Intensity, use the numeric keyboard to adjust the backlight
intensity of the LCD screen of the instrument to a suitable state. You can also use
the arrow keys and knob to adjust the backlight intensity.
3. The instrument settings are correct but no waveform output:
1) Check that the BNC cable is securely connected to the output connector of [CH1]
or [CH2] channel.
2) Check whether the BNC cable is damaged internally.
3) Check whether the BNC cable is tightly connected to the test instrument.
4) Check whether the backlight of the Output1 or Output2 button is lit. If it is not lit,
press the corresponding button to turn on.
5) If the product still cannot be used normally after completing the above checks,
please contact Hantek.
4. The USB stick device cannot be recognized:
1) Check whether the USB stick device can work normally when connected to other
instruments or computers.
2) Confirm that the USB stick is a FAT32 formatted device.
3) After restarting the instrument, insert the USB stick device to check again.
4) If the USB stick still cannot be used normally, please contact Hantek.
5. How to set the amplitude of the waveform in dBm?
1) Select the desired channel.
2) Check whether the output impedance in the channel setting interface is 50Ω ([Utility]
-> CH1 Set).
3) Select the desired waveform, press the Amplitude softkey, input the desired value
through the numeric keyboard and select the unit dBm.
