12.1 Initializing HDD
Purpose:
The hard disk drive (HDD) must be initialized before using it.
A message box pops up when the NVR starts up if there exits any uninitialized HDD.

Click Yes to initialize it immediately or you can perform the following steps to initialize the HDD.
Steps:
1. Enter the HDD Information interface.
Menu > HDD > General

2. Select HDD to be initialized.
3. Click the Init button.

4. Select the OK button to start initialization.

5. After the HDD has been initialized, the status of the HDD will switch from Uninitialized to Normal.
