7 Configuration of the Software
7.1 Supported Data Types
The following data types in ELOP II Factory can be used for HIMatrix controllers:
BOOL, SINT, INT, DINT, USINT, UINT, UDINT, REAL, LREAL, TIME, BYTE, WORD,
DWORD.

7.2 Line Control
Line Control short-circuit and line break monitoring system, such as EMERGENCY OFF in-
puts in accordance to Cat. 4 in compliance with EN 954-1, which can be configured with the
F1 DI 16 01, F3 DIO 8/8 01, F3 DIO 16/8 01, F3 DIO 20/8, F20, F30, F31 and F60 systems.
The digital outputs DO of the system are connected to the digital inputs DI of the same sys-
tem as shown below (example):

The digital outputs DO are pulsed (briefly set to Low) and so the lines to the digital inputs are
monitored. The time basis of the test pulse can be configured in the range 5...2000 μs (de-
fault value 400 μs).
Note
If Line Control is configured in a RIO, then the watchdog time of
the RIO (default value 10 ms) must be increased.
