9 Operating Conditions

For the use of the safety-related HIMatrix controller systems the following common condi-
tions have to be met:
Protection class Protection class II according to IEC/EN 61131-2
Pollution Pollution degree II
Altitude < 2000 m
Enclosure Standard: IP 20
If requested by the relevant application standards (e.g.
EN 60204, EN 954-1), the device must be installed in a
required enclosure (e.g. IP 54).
9.1 Climatic Conditions
The most important tests and limit values for climatic conditions are listed in the following ta-
ble:

Storage Temperature: -40...85 °C
(with battery only -30 °C)
