7.3.2 LAN Connection
For details about this instrument’s settings, See the
Instruction Manual (CD-R version).
• To avoid electric shock, always remove the power cord
from the instrument and disconnect any test leads before
connecting the LAN cable to the instrument.
• The instrument and hub or PC should be turned off before
connecting them.
• Do not connect or disconnect the cable with power on. Oth-
erwise, the devices could be damaged.
1. Turn the instrument and hub off.
2. Connect the 10Base-T connec-
tors on the instrument and the
hub with a LAN cable (straight-
through).
Connect the instrument to the hub with the 9642
LAN CABLE (option).

Connecting a Hub to the Instrument
1. Turn the instrument and PC off.
2. Connect the 10Base-T connec-
tors on the instrument and the PC
with the 9642 LAN CABLE and
supplied crossover adapter.
Connect the instrument to the PC with the
9642 LAN CABLE (option).
