The instrument contains a lithium battery for system backup.
9.5 Instrument Disposal
To avoid electrocution, turn off the power switch and discon-
nect the power cord before removing the lithium battery.
• If the protective functions of the instrument are damaged, either
remove it from service or mark it clearly so that others do not
use it inadvertently.
• When disposing of this instrument, remove the lithium battery
and dispose of battery and instrument in accordance with local
regulations.
1. Turn the instrument upside
down and remove the five
screws affixing the bottom
cover.
2. Turn the instrument right side
up and remove the top cover.
3. Cut the two leads of the but-
ton-type lithium battery near
the corner of the circuit boards.
