Operating Precautions
Before connecting a measurement cable
DANGER
Measurementcablesshouldonlybeconnectedtothesecondarysideofa
breaker.Anyshort-circuitcurrentatthesecondarysidewillbecut-offbythe
breaker.Connectionsshouldneverbemadetotheprimarysideofabreaker,
becauseunrestrictedcurrentowcoulddamagetheinstrumentandfacilitiesifa
short circuit occurs.
WARNING
To avoid electric shock and short-circuit accidents, use only the specied measurement
cables to connect the instrument input terminals (HIGH and LOW terminals) to the
circuit over 70 V DC to be tested.
Before connecting a temperature sensor
IMPORTANT
Connect the temperature sensor by inserting the plug all the way in the TEMP.SENSOR
connector. Insufcient connection may cause larger errors in measured values.
Before turning the power ON
WARNING
Beforeturningtheinstrumenton,makesurethesupplyvoltagematchesthat
indicatedonitspowerconnector.Connectiontoanimpropersupplyvoltagemay
damagetheinstrumentandpresentanelectricalhazard.
CAUTION
Avoid using an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) or DC/AC inverter with rectangular
wave or pseudo-sine-wave output to power the instrument. Doing so may damage the
instrument.
