Pre-Operation Inspection

Clip the resistor with the red and black test leads connected to the
instrument.

Hold down the MEASURE key for more than one second to start insulation
resistance measurement.
See “3.3 Measuring Insulation Resistance” (p. 41).

Check to see if the voltage monitor value reading of the instrument is
between 500 V and 550 V.

Check to see if the insulation resistance reading of the instrument is
100 M
Ω

Press the MEASURE key to end the insulation resistance measurement.

Short-circuit the tips of the clips of the red and black test leads of the
instrument.

Set the test voltage to 500 V.

Hold down the MEASURE key for more than one second to start insulation
resistance measurement.

Check to see if the insulation resistance reading of the instrument is
0.00 M

Press the MEASURE key to end the insulation resistance measurement.
