Wireless Communications Function (GENNECT Cross)
5.3 Wireless Communications Function (GENNECT Cross)
Turn on the wireless communications function to check the measurement data saved
in the instrument’s memory and create measurement reports with a mobile device.

Install the Z3210 wireless adapter (option) in the instrument.
See: “2.2 Installing the Z3210 Wireless Adapter” (p. 31)

Install GENNECT Cross on the mobile device.

Turn on the instrument’s power.
When the power is rst turned on after the Z3210 is installed, the wireless
communications function is turned on automatically.

Hold down the MODE key and the MEM key for more than one second to
turn on the wireless communications function.
When the wireless communications function is turned on,
appears in the
LCD.
Blinking: Connected to a mobile device
Lit: Communications function is on
Not lit: Communications function is o󰀨
To turn on/o󰀨 the wireless communications function, hold down the MODE key
and the MEM key for more than one second.

Start GENNECT Cross and register the connection with the instrument.

Select a function and take the measurement.
The communications distance is approximately 10 m line of sight. The distance at
which communications is possible will vary greatly by the distance between the
instrument and any obstacles (for example, walls or metal shielded objects) and the
oor (ground). Conrm that the strength of the radio waves is su󰀩cient for stable
communications.
GENNECT Cross is available free of charge. However, any internet connection
charges incurred when downloading and using the application software are the
responsibility of the customer.
GENNECT Cross may not run correctly depending on the mobile device.
