14 Nm(1.4 m·kgf, 10 ft·lbs)
Install all parts in reverse order of
disassembly.
Spark Plug Inspection
• Lift the cargo box
• Dismount the seat
• Remove the spark plug cap (1)
• Blow out any debris from the hole
around the spark plug the remove
the spark plug
Standard spark plug
DCPR7E/NGK
Check the electrode
Look for color, carbon deposits and
check the spark plug gap.
Proper Gap 0.8 to 0.9mm
Color should be light tan
• Clean the spark plug with a spark
plug cleaner and reinstall the plug.
17.5 Nm(1.75 m·kgf, 12.7 ft·lbs)
• Install the spark plug cap
• Lower the cargo bed
• Install the console
• Install the Driver’s seat
• Install the passenger’s seat
MEASURING THE COMPRESSION
PRESSURE
Note:
Insufficient compression pressure will
result in a loss of performance.
• Start the engine and let it warm up
for several minutes.
• Stop the engine and remove the spark
plugs. (Both cylinders)
• Assemble the compression pressure
meter (1) and adapter (2) and screw it
into the spark plug hole.
• Hold the accelerator wide open and
crank the motor over, by using the
ignition, several rotations.
