Remove the tail pipe (2) by pulling it out of
the muffler.
Use a wire brush to remove any carbon
deposits from the spark arrester and inner
contact surfaces of the muffler.
Insert the tail pipe into the muffler and
install the fasteners.
Start the vehicle and rev it up several
times while holding a shop towel over the
exhaust opening momentarily to create a
little back pressure to blow out any
residual dust or debris.
Adjusting the Brake Pedal
The end of the brake rod (1) should lightly
contact the brake master cylinder (2).

Adjust by loosening the locknut (1) and
turn the brake rod in or out to obtain the
correct free play.
Tighten the locknut

17 Nm (1.7 m · kg, 12 ft · lb)
After adjusting be sure to check that there
is no drag on the front or rear wheels.
Checking the Brake fluid level
Remove the Sundry Box cover and Sundry
box.
Brake fluid level should be between the
lower (1) and upper lines on the reservoir.
Use DOT 4 Brake fluid only.
Do not mix brake fluids, use of any other
brake fluid will contaminate the system
and could cause brake failure, rubber
deterioration, and require replacement of
all brake lines.
Install the Sundry Box and cover.
