Checking the Final Gear Oil
Place the UTV on level ground.
Unclip wire connector to the speed sensor
and remove the Speed sensor
The oil level should be level with the speed
sensor opening.
Recommended oil
SAE 80 API GL-4Hypoid gear oil
Install the Speed Sensor and reconnect
the wire connector.
10 Nm (1.0 m · kg, 7.2 ft · lb)
Changing the Final Gear Oil
Place the vehicle on a Level surface.
Place a suitable catch container under the
vehicle’s final gear case.
Remove the Drain plug (1).
Unclip the wire connector to the speed
sensor and remove the speed sensor.
Install the Drain Plug.
23 Nm (2.3 m · kg, 17 ft · lb)
Fill with the recommended gear oil to the
bottom of the opening for the speed
sensor.
Install the speed sensor and connect the
wire connector.
10 Nm (1.0 m · kg, 7.2 ft · lb)
Periodic oil change :
0.25 L (0.22 Imp qt)
Total amount :
0.4 L (0.35 lmp qt, 0.42 US qt)
Inspect the CV Joint Dust Boots
Look for Damage or wear.
